Litter bags

While at Octoberfisch in Texas last year, these litter bags were passed out for us to use at the event. I loved this idea, so i got a few extras, and took back to my club. They liked them, so our club made a pledge to get a bunch of these, pass out to the membership, and end each outing, or fishing day with a trash pick up. We have good success with this, so I posted it up on the Texas Fishing Forum, and it has took off!! Thought I would share this and see if the SOC may want to invest in getting some of these bags??

Here are the posts that started it all.
Battle and Dance

By Rebecca S. Melear, The River Runners Women's Fly Fishing Club

As the fog lazily drifts across the water, it settles around me like a soft blanket. The sun has barely begun to peak over the eastern horizon, bringing with it a promise of warmth and clear skies. I step into the flowing water, feeling the rush of cold and anticipation creep through my body. For it is within these waters that my query awaits; hungry, fierce, and watchful.
My arsenal is prepared with and assortment of nymphs, dries, streamers, and jigs. My weapon of choice against my foe is an 8 1/2 foot 5 weight St. Croix fly rod; beautiful, sleek, and deadly.

Slowly I begin my cast, feeling the
